On-Street Pay & Display Bays
On-Street Parking Bays
The Council operates the following on-street parking bays in the town centre. It is the driver's responsibility to purchase a Pay & Display ticket from the machine for the desired stay.
- Black Horse Lane: 4 spaces
- Elm Street: 11 spaces
- Princes Street: 6 spaces
- Old Foundry Road: 28 spaces
- Queen Street: 6 spaces
There are many shared use parking bays in the town centre. Some only allow parking for some of the day and loading and unloading at other times. It is important to read the signs carefully before leaving your car.
| Length of stay | Tariff |
|---|---|
| Up to 30 mins | £1.00 |
| 30 mins - 1 hour | £1.80 |
Parking restrictions often change when events are held in the town. This is to keep traffic flowing freely, for security reasons or for roadworks.
During home football matches and concerts, the limited waiting bays around the football ground are suspended and parking is prohibited. Please read the signs before you leave your car.
