About the Friends

The sole purpose of the Friends Group is to help look after the Park for the public good, and to promote its welfare. Anyone who shares this aim is welcome to join.

For a small annual fee of £5.00 you can join in Friends activities all year round, including:

  • Illustrated talks and discussions;
  • Guided Park walks;
  • Practical conservation work.

You will also receive an informal seasonal newsletter. And all for less than 10p per week for the whole household!

The ParkMobile

If you would like to enjoy a visit to Christchurch Park but find walking difficult, why not ride in the ParkMobile?

In the comfort of this small electric bus, which is run by the Friends of Christchurch Park, you can tour the Park in different seasons, see its ancient trees, its ponds, wildlife, and flower gardens.

The ParkMobile can take seven seated passengers (or three seated passengers with two in wheelchairs) and has a roof and roll-down windows in case of rain.

It is mainly provided for groups, but regular tours can be arranged for individuals. There is a morning or afternoon hire charge of £12 to cover running costs.

To find out more, or to make a booking, please call the Reg Driver Visitor Centre: 01473 252435.
