Best Bar None Scheme
What is Best Bar None?
Best Bar None is a national award scheme, supported by the Home Office, aimed at promoting responsible management and operation of alcohol licensed premises. Since 2003 it has been adopted by over 100 towns and cities across the UK and is being rolled out internationally.
Best Bar None aims to reduce the harmful effects of binge drinking, whilst also highlighting how operating more responsibly can improve the profitability of an individual business and attractiveness of a general area.
The aim of Best Bar None is to reduce alcohol related crime and disorder by building on positive relationships between the licensed trade, police, local authorities and the public.
Being recognised by Ipswich Best Bar None includes meeting a minimum national benchmark culminating in a high profile award night with category awards winners being announced.
Ipswich Best Bar None accredited premises are:
PJ McGinteys & Sons, The Kingfisher Pub, Aqua 8, Isaacs, Bowmans, Robert Ransome, The Cricketers, Corn Exchange, The Regent, The Dove Street Inn, Ipswich Town Football Club, Curve, The Water Lily, Colmans, Liquid, Groove, Zing Wine Bar, Quayside, The Cock & Pye and The Golden Lion
