Ipswich Best Bar None
About Best Bar None
Best Bar None is a national award scheme supported by the Home Office aimed at promoting responsible management and operation of alcohol licensed premises.
Since 2003 it has been adopted by over 100 towns and cities across the UK and is even being rolled out internationally.
The scheme was launched in Ipswich in September 2010 by Ipswich Borough Council, Suffolk Constabulary and Ipswich Central, on behalf of the Local Strategic Partnership.
The aim of Best Bar None is to reduce the harmful effects of binge drinking, while also highlighting how operating more responsibly can improve the profitability of an individual business and the attractiveness of a general area.
