Residents' Parking Permits
Residents' permits
If you live permanently in a Residents' Parking Zone you can buy a residents' permit for your household. You can also buy daily permits for your visitors. Businesses in the residents' zone can also buy residents' permits. Please note the permit is only valid in Residents' Parking Bays for your zone. Some parking bays may have different restrictions, please ensure that you carefully check the signs before parking.
Some properties located in the residents' zones are not included in the scheme, for example any new development or property conversion completed since 2005 may not be included. If in doubt please contact Parking Services.
To find out if your street is in one of the Parking Zones in Ipswich please visit our Residents' Parking Zones pages, which includes a list of streets in Residents' Parking Zones 1 to 4. Alternatively you can check on our GIS mapping service: Maps of Residents' Parking Zones (this may take a couple of minutes to download).
Working in residents parking zones
Tradesmen and statutory services who need to visit houses in the residents' parking zones for their work may apply for an exemption permit. For further information and an application form please visit the Permits and waivers page or contact Ipswich Parking Service. Alternatively, a daily visitor permit purchased by the resident of the property should be displayed in the vehicle.
