North East Area Committee

Councillor Alasdair Ross (Rushmere) is the new Chair of the North East Area Committee, replacing Councillor John Carnall (Bixley).

North East Area Update

North East Area Committee has made great links with Copleston High School pupils who came along to the last area committee of 2012 and gave an enthusiastic and well researched presentation on how young people would like to be involved in making their community a better place to live. They are currently working with Area Committee Chair, Alasdair Ross to determine just what they can offer in 2013. Likewise, the area committee is looking at how they can help the students deliver this. 

It's also hoped that a Traders' Association can be established in the area in 2013, plus, the committee is focusing on one of its priorities, namely how they can fill the gaps in services being offered to "mature" residents. 

The next North East Area Committee meeting takes place on Thursday 23rd May at St John the Baptist Church, Cauldwell Hall Road IP4 4QE at 7.00pm. All welcome.
