This work is tucked away in a quiet corner of Ipswich, not far from the town centre.

John Ravera was born in Surrey in 1941 and trained at Camberwell School of Art. He works mainly in clay for bronze and is a Past President of the Royal Society of British Sculptors.

John has public monuments scattered over London and the home counties, including the much admired 'Family Group' near Battersea Bridge, as well as works in Hong Kong and Tokyo.

His other Ipswich sculpture is the bronze Trawlerman in Hadleigh Road, near the carpark entrance of Sainsbury's.

Other Public Art nearby: The Town Centre and Christchurch Park.
