Welcome to the annual walking festival in Suffolk.
This is the 6th Suffolk Walking Festival and it has been developed over the years from its beginning in 2008 as the South and Heart of Suffolk Walking Festival.

Compost Giveaway!

Free compost at sites throughout Suffolk.
Next week is national Compost Awareness Week and as a thank you to residents for recycling their organic waste, there will be a give away of compost at eight sites around Suffolk.
There will be a promotion of fantastic new offers for home compost bins and food digesters, many of which are drastically subsidised to help reduce the 40,000 tonnes of organic waste that is sent to landfill in Suffolk every year.

The Ipswich Food and Drink Forknight

The Ipswich Food and Drink Forknight is a two-week celebration of everything that is great about Ipswich’s food and drink offer.
The festivity starts with a fantastic Food & Drink Festival delivered by Ipswich Borough Council and the Market Square Group, from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th May on Orwell Quay.
The extravaganza on Orwell Quay will feature a line-up of regional, national and international hot and cold foods, a beer festival featuring beers and ales sourced from local brewers, wine seminars and tastings and cookery demonstrations from TV chef Ed Baines, who will share the kitchen with chefs from some of the region's top restaurants.
With a large number of local businesses taking part, the full two week Food and Drink Forknight will include an online campaign at www.allaboutipswich.com and a printed booklet including unique menus for £10 to £15 from restaurants and eateries across the town, interviews with chefs and restaurateurs around Ipswich, recipes to draw inspiration from the town's top chefs when cooking at home and master classes to learn from the best.
The Food and Drink Forknight will include something for everyone, whatever your cuisine preferences! A range of activities and workshops for the whole family have been organised at Ipswich Town Hall and Corn Exchange throughout 2013.
Access All Arts will showcase local talent and provide opportunities for the community to participate in the arts.
Activities include craft workshops, music lessons, dance workshops, Snobs Coffee Café-Bar, Suffolk Craft Society and much more!
