The Ipswich Food and Drink Forknight
Date: 17th May 2013 - 31st May 2013
Location: Orwell Quay
The Ipswich Food and Drink Forknight is a two-week celebration of everything that is great about Ipswich’s food and drink offer.
The festivity starts with a fantastic Food & Drink Festival delivered by Ipswich Borough Council and the Market Square Group, from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th May on Orwell Quay.
The extravaganza on Orwell Quay will feature a line-up of regional, national and international hot and cold foods, a beer festival featuring beers and ales sourced from local brewers, wine seminars and tastings and cookery demonstrations from TV chef Ed Baines, who will share the kitchen with chefs from some of the region's top restaurants.
With a large number of local businesses taking part, the full two week Food and Drink Forknight will include an online campaign at www.allaboutipswich.com and a printed booklet including unique menus for £10 to £15 from restaurants and eateries across the town, interviews with chefs and restaurateurs around Ipswich, recipes to draw inspiration from the town's top chefs when cooking at home and master classes to learn from the best.
The Food and Drink Forknight will include something for everyone, whatever your cuisine preferences! To find out more about visiting Ipswich to sample an array of tempting food choices, and to get involved in the celebrations go to www.allaboutipswich.com. Or, even more conveniently, download the new All About Ipswich App from itunes which will tell you all you need to know about the restaurants and bars on offer, as well as offering exclusive discounts.
