Be part of an Ipswich Guinness World Record Attempt
Published Monday 12th March 2012
Here’s a unique plea to be a Guinness World Record adjudicator.
On Sunday 18th March during the Ipswich Closed Table Tennis Championships which are being held at the Ipswich Corn Exchange Ipswich, the Ipswich & District Table Tennis League and it's players are attempting the World Record for "most participants in a table tennis rally".
101 different players must play one continuous rally without error, the event has Guinness approval and a claim number, but some crucial help with adjudication is needed.
No experience is necessary and the 2 independent adjudicators just need to count the hits (clicker provided), watch back on video and confirm if the record has been broken.
The attempt is planned to take place at 11.30am on 18th March at the Ipswich Corn Exchange.
This year sees the 80th Anniversary of the Table Tennis League and it would be most fitting if Ipswich were to obtain a Guinness World Record in the Olympic year.
If you are not part of the Ipswich and District Table Tennis league and wish to pledge your interest or find out more please contact Jim Farrow (IDTTL Championship Secretary) on 07734 048775 or Jim.Farrow@Emerson.com.
