Enjoy a 'Safer Summer'

Published Friday 2nd July 2010

Look out for Ipswich Borough Council's Community Safety team if you are out and about at any events in Ipswich over the next few months, and find out how you can enjoy a 'Safer Summer' this year.

The team are there to give advice on personal safety and crime prevention, as well as to help you understand what the Ipswich Community Safety Partnership does, and what is your own responsibility.

We want to find out how safe or unsafe you feel living in or visiting Ipswich and so have created a questionnaire to get your views. All the responses received will be used to make sure that we are going in the right direction and that our future work addresses the issues that are important to you. Everyone who completes a questionnaire will receive a Safer Summer goodie bag with advice and information leaflets, as well as lots of freebies.

The team have already attended Suffolk Pride, Music Day and the Pink concert at Portman Road, and there is still Big Friday, the open-air screening of Grease, and the Ipswich Mela to come. Pay us a visit, say hello and find out how to 'Have Fun, Stay Safe!'

Find out more about the team's projects on the Community Safety pages.
