Nearly 60 people signed up in support of Paws on Patrol, a new scheme to encourage dog walkers to report anything suspicious or broken to the Police or Ipswich Borough Council.

This could be anything from faulty street lights, fly-tipping or suspected criminal behaviour. The launch of this pilot scheme took place in Holywells Park.

It was set up by the South East Ipswich Safer Neighbourhood Team and the Borough Council, and guests of honour at the launch were PC Steve Jay and his dog Aman, who was stabbed in the line of duty.
