Extra time at Portman Road

Published Monday 16th April 2012

There will be extra time at Portman Road tomorrow as Doctor Who's Tardis arrives ahead of Town's evening game against Birmingham.

The visitation is part of the promotion of The Crash of the Elysium, the interactive spectacular that will bring people from all over the region to Ipswich town centre from 15th June to 8th July.

Greg Cooper, Ipswich Borough Council's Cultural Development Manager, said: "It's a great opportunity to get along to Portman Road and take a picture of yourself next to this famous TV icon. You can't say you haven't got time!"

Tickets are going fast for The Crash of the Elysium event, which is being presented by Manchester International Festival, the London 2012 Festival, the New Wolsey Theatre and Ipswich Borough Council. It is being supported by Suffolk County Council and Arts Council England.
