Skills for Life and National Apprenticeship Week 2023 graphic

The week brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses, and the wider economy.

The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2023 is "Skills for Life"; reflecting on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.

What will we be doing during NAW week:

  • Tuesday 7 February, 12-3pm: Apprenticeship Open Event at the Ipswich Town Hall.
This is a drop-in session to learn more about apprenticeships at Ipswich Borough Council.
  • Thursday 9 February, 5:30pm-6:30pm: Introduction to apprenticeships (virtual session 1)
  • Saturday 11 February 12noon to 1pm Introduction to apprenticeships (virtual session 2)

Please email IBCApprenticeships@ipswich.gov.uk to register for one of the virtual events or find out more about the Town Hall drop-in session.

Who should visit:

  • School / college leavers, parents, guardians, teachers, are all welcome, or are you looking for a career change, or getting back into the workplace after a career break – apprenticeships are perfect for you too.
