Households across Norfolk and Suffolk are being urged to sign up for a mission to do their bit to protect the planet and help get the best out of salad and vegetables.

Call points linking directly to police support are now in place in Ipswich town centre as part of a local trial, thanks to Home Office Safer Streets funding. The idea, initiated by Suffolk Police, aims to reassure residents that help is on hand if vulnerable residents or visitors need assistance in an emergency.

Ipswich Borough Council’s street cleansing team are in the running for a national award, having been short-listed for Best Service Team of the year.

Ipswich Borough Council is celebrating the success of its eight microhomes, dedicated to helping rough sleepers in Ipswich. Since the first tenant moved into Armitage Place in July 2021, the microhomes have helped 16 people in the last two years with temporary housing and access to further support.
