Your council open over Christmas

Published10th December 2019

Ipswich Borough Council is open for business to help you over the festive break.

HEARS and emergencies

The Ipswich HEARS and CCTV emergency centre staff are on duty 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, so it is no change for them over Christmas.

Bin collections

Waste collections do change over Christmas – there will be no brown bin collections on or between Monday 23rd December and Saturday 4th January as the Council puts all its effort into collecting extra waste and recycling materials after Christmas. Brown bin collections will resume on Tuesday 7th January. Please place your real Christmas tree next to your brown bin.

Blue and black bin collections are changing over the festive period. View bin collection changes.
