Community Chest Funding

Overview of Fund

Community Chest Funding is available through three different types of grants, and is designed to tackle local issues, address emerging needs and empower local residents, groups and organisations to make lasting change in their neighbourhood.

Community Chest Grants

Community Chest Grants are designed to tackle an emerging issue or need in a community, which can be identified and raised by local councillors or through the Communities team.

Grants of up to £5000 will be made available for local groups and organisation to apply for, along with supporting information and evidence of the need or issue to be addressed.

For more information on Community Chest Grants, or to raise an issue or need in your community, please contact your local ward councillor or the communities team.

Open Community Chest grants will be listed here.

Micro Grants

Micro grants are for local residents who want to make a change in their area. You might want to start a group, support a celebration or perhaps invest in equipment for street clean-ups or gardening groups. If you have an idea, we'd love to hear about it.

Micro grants of up to £100 are available to groups of three (or more) residents, and can be applied for through your local ward councillors or the communities team.

Ward Funding

Local ward Councillors have funding available to spend in their areas, to support local activities, events or small projects.

Ideas or applications can be raised through your local ward councillors, or the communities team.
