Action taken against anti-social behaviour at Council property

Published31st March 2023

A joint operation between Suffolk Constabulary and Ipswich Borough Council has resulted in an Outright Possession Order being applied to an Ipswich Borough Council property.

The Outright Possession Order was applied to a Council property following complaints of persistent anti-social behaviour, with tenants being banned from entering the premises for three months.

An Ipswich Borough Council spokesperson says:

“Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and remains a priority for the Council. We understand that for neighbours ASB can be extremely distressing, which is why we are so pleased with this outcome.

Ipswich is a great place to live, work and visit and the behaviours of the few will not blight our landscape.

We will continue to support the police and take action when a resident is in breach of their tenancy agreement.”

The order is in place for three months from the date of issue, 29 March 2023.
