Classic 70s comedy comes to the Regent

Published14th May 2018

Get ready for catch phrases and slapstick with the return of classic 70s TV sitcom Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em. Frank and Betty reappear on the stage, rather than the screen, with a play starring national comedy treasure Joe Pasquale, alongside Sarah Earnshaw and Susie Blake.

Joe’s talent appeared in New Faces and he went on to feature in various stage and screen roles, as well as delighting audiences with stand-up tours. Star of the stage Sarah Earnshaw’s credits include the West End and UK tour of Spamalot. Susie Blake, who has appeared in numerous TV shows including Coronation Street, takes the role of Frank’s disapproving mother-in-law.

The show follows the accident-prone Frank and his long-suffering wife Betty through a never-ending list of disasters, from roller-skating escapades to runaway chickens. Betty has exciting news for Frank, but he’s preoccupied by possible new-found fame as a magician. Misunderstandings and hilarity are sure to follow!

Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em comes to the Ipswich Regent Theatre from Tuesday 12th to Saturday 16th June with tickets starting from £15.
