Ipswich Borough Council is continuing its annual grant scheme for organisations working to benefit Ipswich residents.

Grants of up to £20,000 are available to voluntary and community organisations, through either a Community Investment Grant for running costs or a Community Project Grant for one-off activities.

The window for applications for 2022/23 is open until noon on Friday 8 October 2021.

Applications should meet at least one of the following priorities:

  • Promoting community safety
  • Improving health and well-being
  • Promoting learning and skills development
  • Making Ipswich a cleaner, more attractive and sustainable place
  • Enhancing leisure and cultural activities
  • Working with individuals and groups who experience disadvantage
  • Promoting equality of opportunity and foster good relations in communities

Successful applicants will be informed next spring.

Councillor Bryony Rudkin, Ipswich Borough Council’s communities portfolio-holder, said: “There is a lot of good work being done by many dedicated people in our community to help improve residents’ quality of life and we are committed to helping as many community projects that meet our criteria as we can. By working together we can make a positive difference.”
