Ipswich Borough Councillors Richard Kirby and Jennifer Stimson have resigned from the Council with immediate effect.
Councillor Kirby (Labour) has represented Sprites Ward since 2004 (and previously served on the Council in the 1970s and early 1980s). The other Sprites Ward councillors are Hamil Clarke and Roger Fern.
Councillor Stimson (Labour) has represented St John’s Ward since 2012. The other St John’s Ward councillors are Elango Elavalakan and Neil MacDonald.
By-elections will be held on May 7th 2015 – the same day as the scheduled Borough and Parliamentary elections.
