Cultural champions on show in exhibition

An exhibition of 10 new artworks has opened at Ipswich's Tourist Information Centre in St Stephen’s Church.

The works were created by multi-disciplinary Suffolk artist Jonathan D Boast as part of his Arts Council-funded residency at Ipswich Museum and Art Gallery earlier this year for the Eduardo Paolozzi exhibition GENERAL, DYNAMIC, F.U.N.

“IPSWICH’S ICONIC T.E.N.” runs from 25th September to 6th October and will provide the first opportunity for the public to see all 10 pieces together in one space.

The collection of limited edition photolithographic prints features some of Ipswich’s greatest cultural champions, artifacts and industries – from Sir Bobby Robson to Robert Ransome.

Jonathan has used digital and traditional processes to layer imagery gleaned from Ipswich Museum’s many fine collections to create complex kaleidoscopic composites that both echo the pop-art aesthetics of Paolozzi while being contemporary and individual. The works are available to purchase individually at £220 or as a set for £2,000.
