Associated British Ports Ipswich has presented the Mayor, Councillor Sarah Barber, with a cheque for £2,000 after hosting a charity cycling challenge on the Waterfront.

Elmy Cycles and Ipswich Borough Council’s Waterfront Gym helped out with the event outside the Old Custom House and more than 60 businesses and members of the public joined in.

The Mayor said: “I am very grateful to ABP Ipswich for their magnificent support. It was a great opportunity to work with them along with Elmy Cycles and our own Waterfront Gym to involve more businesses and the public in our fitness campaigns and raise money for my charities at the same time.”

The Mayor’s nominated charities are FIND – Families in Need, Lighthouse – Women’s Aid Ipswich and The Ipswich Hospital Charity.
