The Deputy Mayor of Ipswich Borough Council, Cllr John Cook, will be attending a reception for the Ipswich Windrush Society at their exhibition in the Sailmakers shopping centre from 1830 on Thursday 26 August. Cllr Cook will be giving a vote of thanks.
The exhibition is a recreation of a typical front room of someone newly arrived from the Caribbean in the post-war period.
