Enjoy a dawn or dusk chorus

Published3rd May 2016

If you love birdsong and don’t mind getting up early, you can join a free Dawn Chorus in Christchurch Park this Saturday (7th May).

The Friends of Christchurch Park event is being led by Wildlife Ranger Joe Underwood and starts at 4.30am.

Meet at the North Bridleway entrance on Park Road. You can become a Friend on the day for £5 and enjoy free tea or coffee and a bacon or egg roll (£5 for others).

If evenings are more your style, you can get along to a dusk chorus on Orwell Country Park on Wednesday 11th May. Meet at Piper’s Vale car park - £3 per person. This will be a great opportunity to hear the nightingales – the Borough Council’s Rangers have been encouraging these wonderful birds with a habitat management plan.

To book your place please email park.rangers@ipswich.gov.uk or call 01473 433998.
