Free, family-friendly Halloween trail opens at Ipswich park this half term

Published22nd October 2022

Ipswich Borough Council have once again teamed up with High Street Safari and this time, are hosting a Halloween trail around Christchurch Park during half term.

The Halloween trail, which is augmented reality, gives the users ultimate control and allows them to choose what happens next in the story even giving players the chance to collect digital stamps and Halloween themed masks for selfies along the way.

Taking place in Christchurch Park from Saturday 22 October until Tuesday 1 November, the trail is free to complete and all you need is a smartphone!

Councillor Phil Smart, Ipswich Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Environment and Climate Change, says:

“Following the huge success we had with the Christmas Trail hosted by High Street Safari in 2021, I am really excited to see that we are welcoming the Halloween QR code Trail to Christchurch park this year.

“Not only is it an excellent family activity that you can take part in for free, but it gets you out and about in one of our lovely parks.

“The trail falls within half term week which makes it a perfect activity for families to come and take part in, and I would encourage you to pop down and take part if you are able.”

The trail is spread over 10 stops throughout Christchurch Park and takes approximately forty-five minutes to complete. However, this can be done in more than one visit.

Once you’ve completed the trail, you’ll receive a free digital fun pack to use at home.
