Greeting cards range 'inspired by Ipswich'

Published21st April 2015

Local artist Maria McGuchan has produced a new range of greetings cards for the town’s Tourist Information Centre called "Inspired by Ipswich”.

Maria took one of her lino print designs of an Ipswich scene into the TIC in St Stephen’s Church and staff were so impressed she was asked to produce a series of Ipswich images in the same style.

She has now produced four prints of well known local landmarks - Christchurch Mansion, the Waterfront, St Margaret’s Church and the Town Hall - which are now available as greeting cards, priced £1.95 each. Each card includes information about the landmark and the artist.

The series has been named “Inspired by Ipswich” and it is hoped to extend the range of souvenirs, gifts and cards in the coming months by inviting local artists and photographers to submit their work for consideration to be used in the range, promoting the heritage of our county town.

Our picture shows Maria McGuchan with the series of cards produced from her artwork.
