Have you lost six shirts?

Published25th January 2017

If you have lost six freshly ironed shirts, a mobile phone or even a passport, Ipswich Borough Council might be able to help.

Several items get left in taxis and private hire vehicles every month and they are brought to the Council. Currently, we have a number of unclaimed items, including:
a pink purse (with identifying feature) a silver purse with a supermarket card with the name Mrs Y Stephenson in it, a passport with the name Mr Evans on it, an Audi key fob, six mobile phones and a black umbrella.

A Council spokesman said: "We would ideally like to return all items to their rightful owners. We have quite rigorous security questions and protocols in place that will ensure the property goes to the rightful owner. The contact details are 01473 432063 or email taxi.licensing@ipswich.gov.uk"

"We have reunited several lost items with their owners in the past – it would be good to achieve success here."
