The housing team at Ipswich Borough Council has been officially recognised as one of the best in the country when it comes to income management with an HQN Accredit: Income Management.

Councillor Neil MacDonald, Housing portfolio, said it was a great honour to receive independent accreditation by Housing Quality Network (HQN) “this is not just about collecting rent,” he explained, “this is about the great service we strive to give to our tenants, offering advice on a wide range of matters as well as managing income and getting the best possible value from what we do.  Constantly raising our standards will help us meet the challenges ahead. I want to thank our team here who should be proud of this recognition and the standards they are achieving.”

Emma Cook, Neighbourhood Team Manager, said, “HQN standards are high and the assessment process is robust so we are all very proud of this achievement. We would like to thank the officers and tenants of IBC, along with the partner organisations who took part in the assessment.”

The award was presented to Councillor Neil MacDonald who was joined by officers from the Tenancy Services and Finance Teams , along with Tenant Representatives to mark the accreditation by HQN. They are pictured outside the Council’s headquarters, Grafton House.
