How can we help (250,000 times)?

The number crunchers at the Council worked out the statistics after reporting that the team dealt with 533 calls in just one day last week.

They have a few days off over the Christmas break but the Emergency Team and HEARS responders are on stand-by 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Councillor Alasdair Ross is in charge of customer services. He said: “The team do a great job and help residents with nearly 250,000 enquiries each year. My new year’s resolution is to set aside a day to join them and better understand how they assist people.”
