Ipswich Borough Council will again hold a two-day summer festival suitable for the whole family at Ipswich Waterfront later this month following its success last year.
Summertime Ipswich will run on Saturday 20 August from 10am until 10pm and on Sunday 21 August, from 10am until 8pm. Visitors can again enjoy a variety of live music, fairground rides, a small market, food and drink stalls plus a spectacular firework display at 9.45pm that will sign-off Saturday evening. On Sunday, stage performances finish at 6pm, with the funfair and food stalls continuing until 8pm.
The Summertime Ipswich event that took place in August 2021 at Ipswich Waterfront was so well-received that the event is being held in the same format again.
Councillor Sophie Connelly, Ipswich Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Culture, says:
“We are thrilled to again be able to bring this celebration Summertime Ipswich to the Waterfront.
“We’re determined to make sure that residents have as many activities to look forward to as possible and this August summer celebration at Ipswich Waterfront with local music on stage and fireworks to enjoy in a beautiful setting is something we are hugely proud to provide. Our summer events programme is always packed full of activities from Ipswich Fit and outdoors at our parks around the town.”
