Ipswich Borough Council opening hours over Christmas

Published21st December 2022

Ipswich Borough Council is open for business to help you over the Christmas period.

HEARS

The Ipswich HEARS service are on duty 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, so there is no change to the service over Christmas.

Bin collections

There will be no changes to black and blue bin collections over Christmas and New Year. However, as usual, the brown bin service will be paused for two weeks after Christmas as the Council puts all its effort into collecting extra waste and recycling materials.

There will be no brown bin collections on or between Tuesday 27 December and Monday 9 January. Collections will resume on Tuesday 10 January. Please leave your real Christmas tree by your brown bin as the Council will collect it for free.
