Ipswich Lettings Partnership has been developed by Ipswich Borough Council to increase access to good quality homes in the private rented sector for anyone living in Ipswich. It provides a professional, committed, and free service to private sector landlords with property available to rent in Ipswich.
The Ipswich Lettings Partnership works with over 70 letting agents and over 60 private landlords across Ipswich. Since its inception in 2013 it has secured more than 90 tenancies.
Instead of a traditional cash deposit, the Council will sign a written agreement with the landlord and tenant guaranteeing the deposit amount, this does not have to be registered in a tenancy deposit scheme and behaves the same way as a cash deposit. It can be claimed against up to the value of the bond. The deposit will last for the life of the tenancy.
