A Jobs & Careers Fair is taking place on Wednesday 29 September at Ipswich Town Hall and Corn Exchange, with local companies and organisations offering advice and information about current vacancies and training opportunities.

It is all happening between 10am and 1pm and with Willis, Suffolk Police, Apprenticeship Suffolk, Orwell Housing, Uniserv, Stage Security and Ipswich Borough Council among those signed up there will be lot of jobs available on the day.

The fair is being organised by Ipswich Borough Council and Jobcentre Plus (Department for Work & Pensions). It is free to attend with no pre-event registration required.

Councillor David Ellesmere, Leader of Ipswich Borough Council, said: “We’re committed to bringing new jobs, improving skills and providing opportunities for people in Ipswich and are pleased to be partnering with Jobcentre Plus to bring this popular event back to the Town Hall and Corn Exchange. This event will not only have real jobs and training places on offer but will also provide careers advice for people looking for their first job or wanting to change their career.”

Chris Knights, Operational Leader for Suffolk Jobcentre Plus, said: “Jobcentre Plus are delighted to be partnering with Ipswich Borough Council for the fourth time for the Jobs & Careers Fair 2021. This is a fantastic opportunity for employers to quickly and easily fill their vacancies and for jobseekers to speak directly to employers or access support to enable them to move into employment. I would encourage everyone to attend this event as there is something on offer for everyone.”
