John Sheeran looks at great art of Paris

Published17th April 2015

International art historian John Sheeran will be looking at Paris when his programme of talks resumes on Wednesday 22nd April at Ipswich Film Theatre.

John attracted big audiences to the Corn Exchange last year with a series of talks on great painters; in this series he draws attention to “Great Cities of Art”.

Framlingham-based John said: “I shall be showing my favourite places to visit in each city and will explore the great masterpieces of painting, sculpture and architecture to be found there. But a key purpose of the talks is to encourage people to visit the cities for themselves, so they can experience the visual, emotional and intellectual stimulation of great artworks.”

Each talk costs £10 (with a £1 booking fee) and tickets are available from Ipswich Borough Council’s entertainments box office, tel: 01473 433100, online at www.ipswichregent.com or on the day in the Film Theatre.

The talks start at 10.30am and go on until noon.
