The Mayor’s converted – are you?

The inaugural Mayor of Ipswich’s Challenge Event is a touch rugby festival taking place on Saturday 5th August.

This fun event, from 10.30am to 4pm at Whitton Sports Centre, is the first in a series of challenges hosted by Sarah Barber to encourage local people to get involved in sport and physical activity.

If you wish to take part it’s very much a social game of non-contact rugby for men and women and boys and girls of 14 and over. The only rules are: create mixed teams (it’s seven a side with at least three of each sex) and have fun. Informal coaching will be given before you start.

The Mayor is playing and if you think you can beat her team get your friends or workmates together and register. You might even win a prize!

You don’t have to be a Lion but we would like you at least to roar with laughter! Register now at www.ipswichfit.co.uk/mayorschallenge
