Mayor cheers charity riders

Published13th March 2019

The Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor Jane Riley, was on hand to cheer off the Mayor of Haverhill on a charity cycle ride in aid of the Joshua Tarrant Trust.

The charity supports children with brain tumours in the East of England and was set up after Joshua, aged 16, died in 2012.

A 46-mile bike ride from Ipswich to Haverhill was undertaken by the Mayor of the west Suffolk town, Tony Brown, Joshua’s father, Sean Tarrant, charity co-founder, and Darren Anderson and Alex Webb, trustees.

At the Cornhill to see them pedal off were Councillor Riley and her consort, husband Adam.

Along the way, the riders were greeted by the Mayors of Hadleigh and Sudbury.
