Ipswich’s Holi Festival will now take place on Sunday 29th April.
The event had to be postponed from last weekend because of the wet conditions but organisers have quickly rearranged it and are now hoping visitors will be able to enjoy the unique atmosphere in better weather.
All the fun will take place in Holywells Park between 1pm and 4pm and the event will feature Bollywood entertainment, music, singing and dancing and Indian food stalls.
The highlight for many is the opportunity to cover each other in coloured powder – it’s great fun and a fantastic spectacle. The coloured powder is provided.
Ipswich Holi Festival is organised by the Ipswich & Suffolk Indian Association, with the support of Ipswich Borough Council.
Entrance to the park is via Myrtle Road. Parking is available at Athena Hall car park off Duke Street and at Orwell Quay.
