New facility for transformed park

Published7th October 2015

Among the great facilities in the new-look Holywells Park is a Changing Places toilet.

This allows disabled park visitors who need the help of a carer a clean, safe and modern facility.

The Changing Places cubicle in the Stable Block includes a movable hoist system, height-adjusting sink and changing bed, as well as a shower facility and disposable paper covers.

The cubicle is open every day from 10am to 4pm. To pre-book the facility or for more information please email parkservices@ipswich.gov.uk .

Holywells Park was transformed as part of a £3 million-plus “Park For People” project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund.

The visitor centre, café, new teen play area, refurbished Orangery and garden/theatre space have all added to the attractions of one of Suffolk’s favourite parks.
