One night that changed music forever – Million Dollar Quartet at Regent

Published19th October 2017

Million Dollar Quartet, the story of how one night changed music forever, comes to the Regent Theatre next month.

The West End, Las Vegas and Broadway smash-hit musical stars Martin Kemp, the Spandau Ballet singer and BBC TV Let It Shine judge.

Million Dollar Quartet is inspired by the famous recording session in 1956 that brought together rock ‘n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time.

The musical, written by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux, brings that legendary night to life, featuring a score of hits including Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, Great Balls of Fire, Walk the Line, Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On, Who Do You Love? and many more.

It’s all here in Ipswich from 20th to 25th November. Performances start at 7.30pm with two matinees (Wednesday and Saturday) at 2.30pm.

So, join us as we transport you to Memphis, Tennessee, on December 4th 1956, where music was changed forever.
