Orwell trips and a right royal treat!

The weather’s getting warmer and the thoughts of many residents, as well as visitors, are turning to the water and the delights of a river cruise.

The Orwell Lady offers regular public cruises, afternoon cream tea cruises and evening supper/theme night cruises.

Victor is a beautiful Thames barge built in Ipswich in 1895 and offers a variety of cruises from outside the Old Custom House, including afternoon cream tea and evening supper cruises.

The Allen Gardiner is a cruise restaurant, offering brunch, lunch or dinner trips. It operates daily, all year round.

MV Balmoral offers trips further afield – on Saturday 25th June you can sail to London from Ipswich Waterfront. This beautiful 1949 ship, which once carried HRH The Princess Royal, will take you down the Orwell, round the Essex coast and Thames estuary before passing through the Thames Barrier and arriving in central London.
