Ipswich Borough Council operates a range of services for residents, organisations and visitors to Ipswich, from cultural and community activities to education and environmental services and everyday facilities like car parking and refuse collections.
Our organisation is constantly growing and developing to meet the needs of Ipswich and its residents. To help us on this journey, we are looking to recruit Performance and Projects Officers to join the Corporate Support team based at Grafton House.
About the role
There are two posts available:
One post 37 hours per week
One post 22.2 hours per week
This is an ideal opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of major corporate capital and business transformation projects, analysing and developing business processes, performance and policies including the Corporate Plan, risk management and implementing recommended changes to ensure effective business planning. You will work closely with colleagues across all departments to support the facilitation of the Council’s transformation programme.
Our ideal candidate would be a great team player, someone creative and proactive, with a great work ethic and the ability to deliver work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will be highly organised, and self- motivated to lead on a range of projects across the Council’s key business areas. You will be confident in challenging and championing change to meet organisational needs and have the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience of producing user-friendly procedures and processes would also be beneficial.
You will be educated to Educated to Degree or NVQ Level 6 or proven technical and organisational knowledge in a project or business planning environment.
