Simon & Garfunkel Story at Regent

Published16th January 2018

Fifty years ago the most successful folk rock duo of all time released a song called “The Sound of Silence”.

And the subsequent blockbuster hits such as “Cecilia”, “Mrs Robinson” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water” were met by anything but silence as Simon & Garfunkel found themselves on millions of turntables across the UK, America and then the rest of the world.

Five decades on, The Simon & Garfunkel Story is coming to the Ipswich Regent Theatre next month, having sold out at venues across the world. A group of talented West End actor-musicians will take you through the 1960s and tell a story that began with a duo called Tom & Jerry, mega-stardom, a dramatic break-up and finishing with a stunning recreation of the 1981 Central Park reformation concert.

Using a huge projection screen, the show features 1960s photos and film footage while a full live band perform all their hits. With every performance creating a standing ovation, this is an evening not to be missed.
