Street trading consent is required by any person wishing to sell goods within a designated Consent Area, which includes a limited number of specific trading sites in the town centre and some streets in other parts of the town.

There are a few exempt goods, most notably newspapers. This legislation does not deal with Pedlars Certificates, street entertainers or street collections.

Where we have no available sites for allocation, new applications are added to our waiting list and applicants informed accordingly.
