Summer fun in the holidays

Published13th July 2017

The long school summer holiday is nearly here and Ipswich Borough Council is making sure that no youngsters can say they are bored!

The Council has again put on an extensive programme for children and their families – everything from sports classes, a beach in Christchurch Park, swimming sessions, museum workshops, parks events and fun days and even horrible history guided walks.

There’s also the Ipswich Wheels day in Chantry park and, next month, the Maritime Festival.

So, if you want to keep fit all summer long, take your treasures to the Museum or explore the history that your teachers won’t teach you, you can find out the details here:

On top of that, the Council will soon be unveiling their free community sport sessions.

Deputy Leader Bryony Rudkin said: "We have once again put on an extensive holiday programme for youngsters and their families. With so much on offer at our sports centres, museums, parks and other events and activities we are confident the long summer holiday will be full of fun."
