Brand new musical “The Band”, featuring the spectacular songs of Take That, is coming to Ipswich’s Regent Theatre next year – and more than 1000 tickets have been snapped up in the first 24 hours.
“The Band” is the fastest selling musical theatre tour of all time and there are eight performances in Ipswich in February 2019. Ipswich is one of several new venues added for next year due to overwhelming public demand.
“The Band” tells the story of what it is like to grow up with a boyband. It’s 1992 and we meet five 16 year-old girls for whom ‘the band’ is everything. Join them on an emotional rollercoaster as this group of girls reunite after 25 years apart and try once more to fulfil their dream of meeting the boyband whose music became the soundtrack to their lives.
The show by Tim Firth features the music of Britain’s most successful boyband ever. Songs like Never Forget, Back for Good, A Million Love Songs, Greatest Day, The Flood, Relight My Fire, Shine and Rule the World defined a generation.
“The Band” is showing at the Regent Theatre from Tuesday 12th to Saturday 16th February 2019.
