The Vernon Project

Published3rd April 2014

A third year student at University Campus Suffolk has created a virtual treasure hunt for his final year project and needs the help of the public to take part and get involved in the experience.

The treasure hunt will be held in Holywells Park in Ipswich during the first two weeks of May. The aim of the game is to deliver a fun learning experience for the players, based around heritage content.

The idea of the project is to get people to join the Horus Exploration Group, to uncover the amazing Edward Vernon’s treasure in Ipswich, by solving mini-games scattered throughout Holywells Park and its history.

To take part all you need is an android device so that you can download the app, scan the clues and solve the puzzles to find the hidden treasure. The treasure hunt will be a fun activity for families to join in with to educate and entertain the children.
