HEARS is a 24 hour monitoring and responding service covering Ipswich and surrounding towns and villages.
With its experienced team of first aid trained responders, HEARS has been helping people live independently in their own homes for over 20 years.
HEARS stands for Home Emergency Alarm Response Service.
The service is available to anyone of any age who would like to feel safer, reassured and independent in their own home. The service provides numerous benefits for:
There is no minimum contract for the HEARS service.
You are supplied with a personal mobile button, which you can wear as a pendant or wrist strap.
An alarm unit is also provided. This is connected through your home telephone socket to our Ipswich based 24-hour control team.
The alarm will automatically dial our 24-hour control team where an operator will be able to speak to you through the powerful loud speaker on the alarm unit. If they cannot hear you, they will try making contact on your home telephone.
You can use your alarm 24 hours a day if you have an accident or emergency, such as a fall. All you need to do is press either the button on your pendant/wrist strap or the red button on the alarm unit.
When you press your button the HEARS team will be able to identify who is calling.
They will have the information you have provided about yourself i.e. your name, address, date of birth and brief medical details.
We have recently extended the HEARS boundaries to include surrounding towns and villages. View a map of the areas we cover.
We have also introduced Assistive Technology to the HEARS service, with new products available such as Falls Detectors and Smoke Detectors. These products are linked direct to the alarm unit in your home and are all tailored to your individual needs.
These are only a few of the products available - please contact us for full details.
