Tender opportunities

We conduct our tender processes electronically using the Suffolk Sourcing procurement portal.

Depending on value our opportunities are posted on:

• Suffolk Sourcing
• Contracts Finder
• Find a Tender

If you wish to respond to any new contract opportunities issued by the Council, your organisation must be registered as a supplier on the Suffolk Sourcing website.

Suffolk Sourcing is an e-Tendering and Contract Management System jointly operated by Suffolk County Council and Suffolk District and Borough Councils. It is a secure online procurement system, enabling potential suppliers and the general public to electronically:

• View and download any current tender opportunities advertised by one of the Suffolk councils;
• Respond to and upload bids/submissions for tenders;
• View details of existing contracts currently in operation between Ipswich Borough Council, Suffolk County Council and other District and Borough councils and suppliers.

When registered you can:

• view a list of tenders/contracts/quotations
• view information on contracts that have already been awarded
• express interest in a tender or quotation
• receive tender and/or quotation documentation
• safely return your tender or quotation documents
• send and receive correspondence

Register for free on the portal and sign up to receive email alerts when new contracts are published.

We also advertise our tender opportunities using Contracts Finder - the Government Opportunities Portal and, where the aggregate value of the contract is in excess of the relevant PCR 2015 procurement threshold on Find a Tender.
