Wildlife volunteers

Published5th December 2017

Ipswich’s wildlife rangers are on a recruiting mission - they want volunteers to help make the town’s parks and local nature reserves even more attractive.

So, if you love the great outdoors and are reasonably active why not get involved with some down to earth practical work?

There is a range of interesting and varied tasks - coppicing, cutting meadows, management of heathland and scrub, even litter-picking and repairing fences.

We think you will have fun - as long as you don’t mind getting a little dirty.

The usual work party day is Thursday, starting and finishing at Holywells Park, although alternative pick-up and drop-off points can be arranged and other work days can be started if there is enough interest.
